📖 Recipe

Air Fryer Baked Potatoes
Equipment
- 1 Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 4 potatoes, Russet potatoes, Maris Piper, King Edward, Desiree and Coliban are suitable varieties for baking.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, or canola or vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon salt, or garlic salt
Instructions
- If your air fryer has a preheat mode, preheat it to 200℃ (390℉).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes well, then pat them dry. Rub olive oil all over the potatoes. I find it easier to do this with my hands, but you could use a brush.
- Rub salt all over them, then prick them several times with a fork. This allows steam to escape.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and bake for 40-60 minutes at 200°C (390℉). Flip them over halfway through with tongs. The timing will vary depending on the size of the potatoes. For a faster-baked potato, you can start them off in the microwave. Just microwave them for a few minutes, then transfer them to the air fryer.
- To check whether they are ready, insert a knife into the centre. If it goes in easily and feels soft, they are ready.
- See the recipe post for serving suggestions and topping ideas.
